About Julian
Julian is an experienced cinematographer who has worked in Canada, Europe and the USA. His narrative cinematography works have been screened at Sundance, BFI London, Cannes and TIFF Next Wave. Julian has also worked with commercial clients such as Vans, Dime, Holt Renfrew, Dove, Microsoft Xbox, Deciem, Canada Goose and New Balance. His music videos clients include artists, Martin Garrix, Ozuna, Tainy, Rêve, Sylo, Devon Cole and Crownlands. Julian was also nominated for Best Music Video Cinematography by the Canadian Society of Cinematographers in 2021. Julian's film industry experience began as a camera assistant, moved on to a Steadicam operator and now, a full-time Cinematographer. His assisting in feature film/tv credits include: Designated Survivor, Run This Town, Fixation and Something Undone. With his vast knowledge and range of understanding in different genres of filmmaking, Julian is continually fascinated with the variety of possibilities that cinematography and the visual medium have to offer.

Julian will create a personalized plan towards your goals and areas of focus within the cinematography/videography industry. Julian offers lessons from his home or office (Toronto) and is able to provide hands-on training with basic camera and lighting equipment and opportunities to learn about various techniques.
Offering hands-on lessons in cinematography/videography, lighting and camera technique, Julian will share his deep knowledge of camera settings, images, image manipulation, ideation, pre-production and on-set temperament with talent and crew.
