About Edward
I am the musical director of a jazz function band and play with a group called FEZ that has recently returned from a European tour. I have been lucky enough to work with some truly fantastic musicians over the years and find working with pupils to achieve their specific goals the most fulfilling. I achieved Grade 8 in piano when I was 18 and went on from there to work as a musician. I have recorded at RAK studios in St John's Wood, Chichester Cathedral and Salisbury Cathedral. I am confident in teaching Jazz, classical, Pop, Bossa, Salsa, Soundtrack composition, improvisation, music theory and ABRSM grades up to Grade 8.

I have over 10 years' experience in teaching and playing professionally for recording artists in London and across Europe. I am here to help you learn in a way that suits your goals for the piano and your pace. I focus on teaching you what you want to learn and giving you techniques to help you keep your progress consistent and sustainable. I am confident in tutoring music theory and composition as well as tutoring ABRSM grades. Lessons last one hour - though can be 30 minutes if teaching children. I teach from the age of 8 all the way to adults.

I had several piano classes with Ed and he was a very patient, accommodating, and helpful teacher. He helped me get a solid grasp of the basics and left me with simple and fun exercises that I could practise at home, which helped me improve much quicker.
