About Ava
Hello, I'm Ava! I am a rising sophomore at Columbia University majoring in History with a minor in Mathematics. I am also a violinist of 12 years, who has graduated Suzuki Level X and plays in the Columbia Bach Society Chamber Orchestra.
I have experience with the Suzuki Method, competing in solo concerto competitions, and performing in ensembles and an orchestra.

The structures of violin lessons vary significantly depending on the student's level, but involve practicing technique (through exercises, scales, and études), learning pieces from classical repertoire (including from the Suzuki Books), and developing style and artistry through continuous feedback. I teach students of all ages at a beginning or intermediate level (including those just picking up the instrument for the first time).
I have experience in the Suzuki Method, competing in solo concerto competitions, and performing in orchestras and other ensembles.
