I’ve really enjoyed my lessons with Dorothée and would highly recommend her.

She has a great way of explaining grammar concepts so that they feel much easier to understand, and the homework she gives me always helps to reinforce what was covered in the previous lesson.

Her lessons are a great balance of challenging and encouraging. I always feel like I’m being pushed to improve, but never in a way that feels overwhelming. I’m becoming a little more confident in my French after every lesson and can really see the progress I’m making. Dorothée is patient, supportive and a lovely teacher to learn with!

Dorothée is patient, supportive and a lovely teacher to learn with!

I found Dorothée through my partner who also had her as a tutor. Dorothée is extremely kind and fair with a real focus trying to move you towards natural speech and instinctive ability. A great tutor for anyone starting out their journey towards French proficiency.

Dorothée is a lovely and caring teacher. She is incredibly patient and empathetic and knows how to connect with her students, finding creative ways to teach and make it fun!

I first had lessons with Dorota probably almost ten years ago (!) and I learnt so much so quickly under her tuition. I always remembered how impressed I was by her rigour + professionalism, and also her great sense of humour. We have recently restarted lessons and I really love it - the lessons are really well planned and structured, the work can be tricky but is very rewarding, and she provides really interesting study materials: documentaries, the news, songs, poetry etc. I can't recommend enough!

Dorothée is a great French teacher.

I’ve been taking biweekly lessons for the past few months and my French has definitely improved.

We use a good range of learning materials, such as textbooks and exercises sheets, and focus on all aspects of the language including grammar and vocabulary.

We also practice all the pillars of the language like reading, writing, speaking and listening which I find very beneficial.

The lessons are structured and there is a logical flow to them.

Dorothée is an amazing French teacher. My goal was to focus on grammar and ease of communication, so every lesson we assess my knowledge and tackle any gaps or mistakes I make through exercises and explanations. We watch news, videos, and listen to music which help me understand the spoken language better. Dorothée provides many learning materials, from books to songs and tailors lessons according to her students’ needs and personal preferences and is always open to suggestions.
Dorothée is also a very kind and interesting person, which makes it easy to connect with her and feel at ease from the very first lesson! I highly recommend Dorothée to anyone looking for French lessons!

My online and in person French classes with Dorata are varied and enjoyable. Whilst a stickler for good grammar she is extremely patient and authentically ambitious for her students to understand and speak. I have no hesitation in highly recommending her for learning the language properly along with being introduced to much French culture. Jacque - student for two years

Dorothée is an amazing teacher! She has been teaching me and my wife for almost half a year and the progress suprised use, as we were very new to the language.

She goes above and beyond for her students - she is very professional, attentive and helpful. I recommend her to anyone that needs help getting started or getting over difficult material, any time!

Dorothee had taught me French lessons for two years up to the Covid. I can confirm that she is an excellent teacher, very thorough and progressive. Dorothee is also very knowledgable and is able to apply her knowledge to our language-related discussions during the lessons. I recommend her highly.

Our teenage daughter has been having French classes with Dorothée for a few months now, with a frequency of 1,5h per week: she has just moved to a French speaking school and needed a thorough recap of grammar and help and encouragement to actually speak the language. What really seems to be Dorothée’s forte as we have seen it up to now is her unusual ability to encourage the use of language skills in a practical way with an approach that is gentle yet firm. We are very happy to have chosen her: our daughter is understanding more and more and progressively gains confidence. She started to actually really like the language. We are happy to write our most sincere recommendations here.

I am happy to recommend Dorota as a French teacher. Over the course of a year, she was my guide in mastering the French language—a task that, as a native Russian speaker newly arrived in Paris, felt both urgent and daunting. My goal was clear: to learn French quickly and efficiently in order to secure a position in the French administration. Thanks to Dorota, I achieved exactly that.
Dorota is a remarkable teacher, blending rigor with creativity. She tackled the most challenging aspect for me—pronunciation—with patience and precision, ensuring that my spoken French became not just understandable but truly polished. At the same time, she made grammar an engaging adventure rather than a chore, using vivid examples and clever explanations that made even the trickiest rules click effortlessly.
Beyond her teaching skills, Dorota brings an impressive academic background, having studied at the Sorbonne. But what truly sets her apart is her passion for language and her unwavering dedication to her students' success.
For anyone serious about learning French—not just scratching the surface, but truly mastering the language—Dorota is an exceptional choice. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, inspiring, and results-driven teacher.

I have been taking weekly Latin lessons with Dorothée for a while now - and my experience was everything I had hoped for: stimulating, fun, flexible - just the right mix of lessons that stretch my mind as well as give me an insight into a different culture through reading and practice. My weekly lesson is time in my diary I always look forward to.

I had two years of learning with Dorthee and cannot recommend her enough

I took French classes with Dorothée and really enjoyed the varity of topics and exercises that she prepared for us - never a dull moment! Also, she has very deep knowledge on language theory and grammar which makes understanding so much easier. I learned loads and always had fun doing so

I had a weekly online lesson with Dorota for 4 years. her style is quite informal but very professional with a seemingly top academic background in linguistics. The content was varied and she uses a range of interesting, and educational, multimedia content. She can be quite strict and generally set, and marked, appropriate homework. We worked hard at grammar, translation and spoken French.
I would not have stuck at it for 4 years she had not been top notch.

I have been taking French lessons once a week with Dorota for over a year, and I couldn't be happier with my progress. She is skilled at breaking down complex concepts and making them easy to understand.

What sets Dorota apart is how she brings French culture into the lessons. Whether it's discussing the nuances of the language or explaining certain phrases in the context of French customs, she adds a cultural perspective that makes learning even more interesting. It really helps me connect with the language on a deeper level and understand not just how French is spoken but also how it's used in everyday life in France.

Overall, Dorota is a fantastic teacher. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to not only learn French but also gain an appreciation for French culture!

I have been learning French with Dorothée for over five years, first through group classes organised by my employer and for the past 3-4 years during the individual lessons. My level of French improved from basic understanding to ability to speak freely about more complex matters, use advanced grammatical structures and improve my communication not only to be understood but to use language in a natural, seamless way. Dorothée personalises the content of the class to the needs and interests of the student what makes learning interesting and fun journey.

Dorothea was a great French tutor! She really cares for her students and their learning - I took French with her in a group setting for 2.5 years and my French improved to the point where I feel comfortable speaking it when in france and feel one level away from fluency. Merci beaucoup Dorota!

I've been taking French lessons with Dorothee for a year and a half now. We meet once a week and the lesson is an hour long. Dorothee really gets the balance right between making the lessons fun but also making sure I'm continuing to learn each week. I highly recommend her as a teacher. You won't be disappointed.

I loved doing French classes with Dorota, she always chose such thoughtful subjects to discuss.
She has done a great job helping me resurrect my French :)
She was my teacher for two years while taking a class funded by my employee.

Dorothée is an exceptional French teacher.

Her interest in the language shines through, making learning both engaging and enjoyable.

She explains complex concepts with clarity and patience.. Her interactive teaching style keeps classes dynamic, and she is always encouraging.

Highly recommended!

I have known Dorothee for a number of years after meeting on a company sponsored course. I enjoy our lessons very much, and have continued with them for my person account! She provides interesting and stimulating articles in addition to the necessary traditional grammar. I have gained so much confidence in speaking French, and can now engage in conversations at any time. I would thoroughly recommend her as a teacher.

Dorothee is an incredible teacher who has real patience and skill. I have had other tutors in French and never found one that could teach me languages (always struggled). But with Dorothee I actually see visible progress and really enjoy the sessions too. She is the best

I've worked with Dorota for over 15 years initially setting out to improve my French conversation and grammar. I've continued with our classes as I really enjoy our unique interaction.
Spending extended periods of time in France I have greater confidence to converse whether socially with friends in our local auberge or professionally with architects and lawyers.
Dorota has developed an interesting, challenging and rewarding learning programme for me and I keep booking my next lessons because I enjoy them enormously and find the sessions together hugely rewarding.
Certainly the best French teacher I have ever worked with.

Dorothee is a very professional, personable tutor and linguist. She is reliable and punctual for class dates and times. Lessons are varied and interesting with grammar points being well articulated. My language sills have greatly improved thanks to her tuition.

I am learning French with Dorota for a few years already and can highly recommend her as a teacher! She is a great teacher with a tremendous experience in teaching people from scratch or helping them overcome existing barriers. She provides diverse materials and types of learning, her grammar tips are always memorable and her teaching style is fluid so you don’t notice how lessons pass by.

I have been taking classes with Dorothee over a few years and she has taken me from a very basic level of French with very little confidence, to close to fluency both spoken and written, and all the confidence in the world. She is a really excellent language teacher with so much experience and a passion for the French language. She has made the learning process interesting, fun, diverse and cultured. She pushes her students while really understanding your level, what you are capable of and what your individual goals are with learning French. I cannot recommend Dorothee more highly if you are looking for a French tutor!

Hi. She is an amazing teacher. She quickly grasps your skill level, recap the basics and past lessons and make solid progress with every lesson. I am super impressed.

Dorothee is a very professional and devoted tutor with native-speaker pronunciation and amazing dedication to her job. We worked together for a few years and I can't recommend her enough.
