About Finn
I am an experienced ESL tutor with 8 years of teaching English to High School and College students. Throughout my career, I have taught between 150 and 200 students, helping them strengthen their communication skills, improve academic performance, and gain confidence in using English.
A major milestone in my journey has been guiding students who were hesitant about speaking or writing into becoming confident, proactive learners. Seeing their improvement and enthusiasm for English is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching. I strongly believe that lessons should be clear, purposeful, and applicable to real-life and academic situations.
My teaching methodology combines clarity, structure, and creativity. I break down complex topics into manageable steps, provide plenty of examples, and encourage active participation. I focus on building grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills alongside listening and speaking practice, ensuring students develop balanced and practical abilities.
I create a supportive and patient learning environment, adapting my approach to match each student’s pace and learning style. I encourage students to take ownership of their learning and develop strategies for continuous improvement. Mistakes are treated as opportunities for growth, and I celebrate every success, no matter how small.
My mission as an ESL tutor is to help students achieve real progress in English while fostering confidence and motivation. I aim to equip learners with the skills they need to succeed in school, college, and beyond.

I teach ESL using real-life examples and case studies to make English practical and meaningful. My approach is student-centred, adapting lessons to each learner’s pace, style, and interests.

Besides ESL, I also teach grammar, writing, reading, and conversation skills. My goal is to help students gain confidence, independence, and practical English skills they can use every day.
