I have taken years of lessons myself, so I understand the process of learning and growing as a musician. I know the challenges and joys that come with developing your skills, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I always strive to create a professional, respectful, and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I am dedicated to your progress and will work with you to ensure you feel supported and motivated throughout our lessons.

For both guitar and singing, my approach is rooted in making the lessons fun, engaging, and effective. I believe in a balance of technique, creativity, and building confidence. Here’s a breakdown of my teaching philosophy:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Personalized Learning: Every student is different, so I tailor lessons to each individual's needs and learning style. Whether you're visual, auditory, or hands-on, I adapt to make sure the material is presented in a way that clicks for you.
Fundamentals First: Whether you’re learning guitar or singing, I believe in laying a strong foundation. For guitar, that means focusing on chord shapes, strumming patterns, and basic scales. For singing, I start with vocal warm-ups and proper breathing techniques to ensure the voice stays healthy and can grow.
Building Confidence: One of my main goals is to help students feel comfortable and confident in their abilities. I encourage self-expression through music and always praise effort and improvement, no matter how small.
Fun and Creativity: Music is about enjoyment, and I try to make every lesson as fun as possible. I like to incorporate songs that my students love, so they can connect to the lessons more. We also explore music theory in a simple, accessible way, so students understand why they’re doing what they’re doing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-Up: We start each session with a quick warm-up to prepare the voice or hands for playing. For singing, this includes simple vocal exercises to open up the voice, and for guitar, we'll go through some finger stretches and chord practice.
Technique Focus: Each lesson has a technical aspect, like learning new chords, scales, or vocal exercises. For singing, we might work on breath control, pitch accuracy, or projection. For guitar, we might focus on chord transitions or learning a new strumming pattern.
Songwork: We’ll always work on a song—either one chosen by the student or a suggestion from me. I think learning a song helps students apply the techniques they’ve been practicing in a fun, practical way. For singing, this could mean working on phrasing and dynamics, while for guitar, it might be practicing a specific riff or chord progression.
Q&A and Cool-down: At the end of the lesson, I always leave time for any questions the student may have, and we wrap up with a brief cool-down, where I give feedback and suggest practice goals for the week.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
My Tutoring:
Experienced and Relatable: I’ve accumulated over 7 years of vocal training, and 8 years of performing experience, which has given me a deep understanding of singing technique and musical theatre performance. My 2 years of guitar lessons and 5 years of guitar-playing experience allow me to bring a fresh, relatable perspective to teaching both instruments.
Youthful Perspective: As a 15-year-old tutor, I can easily relate to the challenges that younger students face when learning music. I bring an energy and understanding to lessons that helps make students feel comfortable and motivated.
Musical Theatre Expertise: I specialize in musical theatre singing, which sets me apart from other voice teachers. I help students develop not only their vocal technique but also their performance skills. I teach students how to connect with the songs they sing and act through their music, which is essential for musical theatre.
Patient and Encouraging: I’m committed to creating a supportive, patient environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and celebrate their progress. My lessons are always positive, fun, and focused on growth.
Guitar Lessons: These lessons are for all ages, from absolute beginners to intermediate players. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I can help you with chords, strumming, learning songs, and even a bit of theory to take your playing to the next level.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Singing Lessons: I specialize in singing lessons for students aged 8-14, particularly focusing on musical theatre and general singing improvemnt. If you're someone who loves to sing show tunes, I’ll help you develop your vocal technique, musicality, and performance skills. For older students, I can help you with more modern and specific singing technique, but I focus more on the basics for younger voices.
