About Brandon
I am a master's-level graduate who started their career of advanced study within the hard-sciences, including their history and philosophy, but who is transitioning to the broader humanities, for within that field I find greater purpose, wider openness to thought, deeper connectivity to people, and purer joy.
Although my graduate-level coursework and research is confined to physics and mathematics, I have recently engaged in dialectical discussion with a tenured historian and philosopher of science, who has aided my ongoing transition to the broader humanities.
My college-level coursework contained emphases on literary analysis, Socratic discussion, essay-writing, and the history and philosophy of science.
I have four semesters of experience as a teaching-assistant of physics courses, much which was virtual, and I have been learning techniques for teaching reading comprehension through the English language.
I am intermittently engaged in self-study of linguistic sciences, language arts, and broader literature from ancient philosophy to contemporary political theory.

Our tutoring experience would consist of your tutor (myself) preparing and engaging you with a response which aligns with your expressed quandary, by following a three-step plan.
1. Identify the student's question or problem and their position on the learning curve of study.
2. Chart an appropriate approach for a lesson plan, which may be adjusted as needed.
3. Articulate the lesson plan to the student and set expectations for the session, which may change.
I aim to provide accurate content, to ensure your understanding by engaging your thought, to manage your time appropriately, and to instill confidence that after our session, you will be able to continue your work independently.
I currently prefer to tutor grades 3-8.
