About David

I'm a dedicated college freshman majoring in Computer Science, with a strong passion for history. My academic journey includes scoring a 5 on the AP World History exam and earning A's in both college government and US history courses. This success stems from a deep love for understanding the past and a commitment to mastering the subject.

My unique background in both history and computer science allows me to approach historical analysis with a fresh, analytical perspective. I enjoy making history come alive by connecting it to modern-day events and encouraging critical thinking. Whether it's breaking down complex historical events or helping with essay writing, I'm here to help students excel and develop a genuine appreciation for the subject.

With my tutoring, I aim to share my enthusiasm for history and provide the tools and strategies needed for academic success. I'm excited to help others discover the importance and relevance of history in our world today.

About the lesson

Teaching Method and Techniques:
I focus on making history engaging and relatable by connecting historical events to present-day contexts. My approach emphasizes critical thinking, helping students analyze primary sources, construct well-argued essays, and understand the cause-and-effect relationships that shape history. I use a mix of lectures, interactive discussions, and multimedia resources to keep lessons dynamic and tailored to each student's learning style.

Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material, followed by an in-depth exploration of a specific topic. We'll break down key events, figures, and trends, and work on connecting these elements to broader historical themes. I'll also provide guidance on essay writing, exam strategies, and effective study habits. Each session ends with a Q&A to ensure clarity and reinforce understanding.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
As a college freshman majoring in Computer Science, I bring a unique analytical perspective to history. I scored a 5 on the AP World History exam and earned A's in both college government and US history. My success in these courses reflects my passion for the subject and my ability to break down complex concepts into digestible parts. I’m committed to helping students not only improve their grades but also develop a genuine appreciation for history.

Who the Lessons Are For:
My lessons are ideal for high school and college students, particularly those preparing for AP World History, US History, or Government exams. Whether you're struggling with the material or aiming to excel, I can help you build a strong foundation and achieve your academic goals.
