About Eddie
I am a former Spanish student myself, and have taken the language as a course for the past 17 years. I also completed a Spanish immersion course in Oaxaca, Mexico during my junior year of high school. The program lasted all summer. I worked for a company in Madrid during my junior summer of college as well. I love speaking Spanish and Spanish culture, and am excited to share this with you all!

As a Spanish tutor, I use an interactive, student-centered approach that emphasizes communication, grammar fundamentals, and cultural immersion. My lessons are structured yet adaptable, incorporating real-world materials like songs, dialogues, and short articles to help students connect language to everyday life. I focus on speaking and listening from the start, while reinforcing vocabulary and grammar through engaging activities such as games and creative writing exercises. I also tailor my lessons to fit the interests of the student, so they can learn about subjects they are actually interested in. This helps the learning process much more fun. A typical 60-minute lesson might include a brief warm-up in Spanish, a clear introduction to a new topic of review of an old one, guided practice, student-led speaking, and a cultural takeaway. What sets me apart is my ability to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel confident making mistakes and improving. I work generally work with students (from elementary school to high school), but am also open to teaching adults as well seeking an introduction into the world of Spanish!
