About Juan Carlos
I have a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance with a specialty in the flute from West Virginia University and two master's degrees in conservatories in Europe. I have 4 years of experience teaching the flute from beginner levels to college level students and have studied with renowned flutists from North America and Europe.

I specialize in music spanning from the baroque to contemporary era. My approach to teaching is to adapt to the student’s unique needs and goals. Different learning styles require different approaches and I provide a unique approach and lesson plan to every individual student. Other areas of specialty include extended techniques, audition preparation, and body consciousness. Approach music from an intentional and artistic perspective while focusing on technique and musical expression.
