I have one on one meetings with students where we can read the paper out loud together. I listen to the student and what it is that they want to get done on their paper. We then work through it together fixing or improving what ever they have requested and any grammar, punctuation, and structural errors in the paper. When the session is concluded, the student has gained some academic writing techniques which should make me less necessary for their next assignment and whatever paper they have brought to me has been improved.
