About CHU
Hello everyone, I am an English teacher from China, specializing in Business English. I have a four-year university background, during which I consistently tutored elementary school students across various subjects. This experience has enriched my teaching skills and deepened my understanding of educational practices.
Teaching Experience
In addition to tutoring elementary students throughout the university, I have also focused on teaching Business English, helping students and professionals enhance their English communication skills in business contexts. My courses emphasize language proficiency as well as cultural understanding and practical application, including conference presentations, business writing, and cross-cultural communications.
Language Skills
As a native Chinese speaker, I possess a high level of proficiency in Mandarin, which solidifies my foundation in bilingual (Chinese and English) education. This background helps me better understand the challenges learners may face during their language acquisition process and effectively assist them in overcoming these hurdles.
Teaching Philosophy
I firmly believe that education should be inspirational rather than merely instructional. 1. Absolute beginners with no prior knowledge of Chinese
2. Learners with some Chinese knowledge who wish to improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills

Course Objectives:
1. Master Chinese Pinyin and correct pronunciation
2. Engage in basic daily conversations
3. Understand and use common Chinese characters and phrases
4. Enhance comprehensive language application skills
5. Gain an in-depth understanding of both traditional and modern Chinese culture

1. Video Lectures: Delivered by experienced teachers through video explanations

Course Schedule:
This course lasts for 12 weeks, including 3 hours of video teaching per week, 1 hour of live interaction, and approximately 2-3 hours of self-study tasks and exercises per week. The total direct teaching time is 36 hours, with an additional 36+ hours of self-study and practice.
