About Anna
Hello! My name is Anna Burnett and I am a college student studying finance and economics. I have a strong passion for mathematics and love helping others on anything math related. I have tutored for about 3 years throughout high school. I was in a math tutoring club where I spent a couple of hours every month working with kids in different subjects such as Algebra 1 & 2 and many more. I also was a cadet teacher for an Algebra 2 class where I taught lessons and graded homework. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need tutoring! I would love to help!

My teaching method focuses a strong conceptual understanding of mathematical principles while tailoring my approach to each individual student.
A typical lesson plan would be a short warmup/review, introduction to the topic, guided practice problems, independent practice problems, and a short review/recap.
What sets me apart is my patience with my students. I understand that math is a difficult subject and can cause lots of anxiety. My goal is to take that anxiety away and help my students be confident in their ability. Furthermore, I communicate effectively with my students to ensure they get assignments and work done on time. I also give personalized instruction so that I can really help the individual grow in areas where they are struggling as opposed to just trying to get the assignment done or achieve a certain grade.
