About Vivek
Hello! My name is Vivek, and I’m a proud alumnus of the University of Virginia, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Biology. Currently, I’m pursuing my dental education at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Since beginning this journey, I’ve been passionate about mentoring and tutoring aspiring dental students, particularly in the application process and preparation for the Dental Admission Test (DAT), on which I scored in the 99th percentile. As an undergraduate, I benefited greatly from the mentorship of student leaders who generously shared study resources and helped me navigate challenging coursework. Their support inspired me to pay it forward by offering tutoring across a variety of subjects. I’ve since gained extensive experience working with students both one-on-one and in group settings, always aiming to empower them to reach their full academic potential.

My academic background includes advanced mathematics, having completed AP Calculus in high school, and several years of tutoring experience in Prealgebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II. My true strength lies in the sciences—especially General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry—where I help students develop confidence through clarity and consistent practice.
I believe that learning is a process best strengthened by reflection and resilience. I encourage students to embrace mistakes as learning opportunities and to engage actively, asking questions, offering feedback, and shaping our sessions to fit their unique needs. I see tutoring as a dynamic, collaborative process that evolves with every student I work with.
I offer flexible scheduling and primarily tutor online through Zoom or Google Meet, integrating digital tools to enhance each session. I’m readily available via text or email for any questions or scheduling needs.
