About Rayna

"Thirteen years of coaching follow 13 years of competitive play where I secured multiple state titles. Standing across from an opponent, I realize that the transition from player to guide allows me to refine the technical craft of calculation, visualization, and positional understanding. My BA in Education combined with my FIDE Trainer certification shapes how I teach pattern recognition, blunder checking, and defensive technique.

Opening principles and repertoire building form the backbone of my instructional methodology. I focus on time management and tournament preparation to ensure you handle the clock effectively. You will find my feedback sharp, direct, and tournament tested as we sharpen your decision making process."

"Clocks ticking down during time pressure create a specific, heavy silence in the room that ruins many club players. Diagnostic rating assessments allow me to pinpoint your specific gaps in tactical patterns before we waste time on irrelevant material.

Because I have 13 years of experience, I identify your weaknesses instantly. Visualization exercises sharpen your board awareness during high stakes moments.

We systematically analyze your games to strip away bad habits in your opening choices. Consistent, disciplined study methods replace random guessing. I provide the structural framework required to stabilize your game under pressure. You will play with cold, calculated precision."
