About Karen
Hola! I’m a certified Level 3 US Masters Swim Coach with a lifelong passion for the water. I’ve been swimming since I was 10 years old and haven’t stopped since—honestly, I think I might’ve been a mermaid in a past life! I started competing in swimming at age 17 back in Colombia and have spent the last four years teaching swimmers of all ages—babies, kids, and adults. I believe in building trust and confidence in the water, helping each swimmer feel comfortable and connected as they grow their skills.
During our sessions, I’ll be in the water with you, guiding you step-by-step toward your personal goals. Every swimmer is different, so whether you're working on technique, learning to float, streamlining your stroke, or building strength and flexibility with dryland training, I’ll tailor the lessons to your needs.
My favorite stroke is butterfly (it’s what I used to compete in!), but I love helping swimmers improve in all areas.
Here’s what you can expect in each session:
* 1 hour of in-person instruction
* Dryland training to boost strength and flexibility
* Time to ask questions and get feedback
* Optional underwater video analysis of your stroke (available for an extra fee)
* Monthly progress tracking
We’ll meet at a public pool or any LA Fitness within 25 miles of Miami Lakes.

I can teach to kids, adults and triathletes. To learn different styles of swimming and therapy for different issues in the water. Also I can be a coach for teams to go to compete in a tournaments. I love teaching people to get healthy and get healthy habits.
