About Oswaldo
Composer, musical director and teacher focused on incidental music with a substantial career in series, film and theater as a musician, actor and director. Composer of the original music for the series Selección Natural (2020) and its prequel Selección Natural Génesis (2021); nominated three times for the Clapperboard of the Mexican Association of Independent Filmmakers for best original music, winning the category in 2020 and receiving an honorable mention in 2021. Musical director and arranger of the plays Serenata a mis muertos (2021) by Ioné Cervantes and Bodas de Sangre (2021).
Since 2008 he has worked hand in hand with playwrights, theater, short film and dance directors, actively participating in artistic tours around the Mexican Republic. Current scenic and musical director of the multidisciplinary collective Mju, composer of the DFicciona theater company and general director of Synesthesia Producciones, a production company focused on the composition, development and promotion of music for film, theater, dance and audiovisual media.
His works and projects have been presented in various countries, including France, the United States, Canada, Colombia and Mexico in venues such as the Cineteca Nacional, the Generation Equality Film Festival Paris, the 24 Risas por Segundo Film and Comedy Festival. , Shorts México, the Monterrey Film Festival, the Cinestesia Fest international university short film festival in Colombia, the Manuel M. Ponce Hall at the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City, the Carlos Chávez Hall at UNAM, the Auditorium Divino Narciso in the Cloister of Sor Juana, among others.
