About Jahan

Hi! I’m a software engineer with over five years of experience specialising in frontend development. I’ve worked with modern technologies like JavaScript React, and I love creating clean, user-friendly interfaces. Over the years, I’ve also mentored junior developers and discovered that I really enjoy helping others learn to code. That’s what inspired me to start tutoring — I find it rewarding to see students grow in confidence and start building projects they’re proud of. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and practical. I like to break down complex concepts into clear, simple explanations and then guide students through hands-on exercises to help the ideas stick. Whether you’re completely new to coding or looking to strengthen your frontend skills, I’ll tailor our lessons to your goals and learning style so you can make steady, enjoyable progress.

My tutoring approach is highly practical and hands-on. I believe that the best way to learn frontend development is by building real projects and solving problems in context. Each lesson typically combines short explanations of key concepts with live coding, debugging, and small challenges to reinforce understanding. I adapt my teaching style to the learner’s pace — whether that means diving deeper into fundamentals like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, or tackling modern frameworks such as React, Vite, or Preact. I focus on helping students think like engineers — learning not just what to code, but why and how to reason about design decisions, performance, and maintainability. I also encourage students to use tools like GitHub, browser dev tools, and online sandboxes to simulate real-world workflows. A typical session lasts 60–90 minutes, depending on the student’s goals and attention span. I usually include a short recap at the end and assign a small project or exercise to practise before the next lesson. I’m a software engineer with 5 years of professional experience specialising in frontend development. I’ve worked with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (React, Preact, Vite, and AG Grid), and I have experience mentoring junior developers in professional settings. My background allows me to bridge the gap between theory and practical, real-world coding. My lessons are designed for beginners to intermediate learners — anyone who wants to build confidence in frontend development, whether they’re complete newcomers to coding, computer science students, or professionals looking to transition into web development. I also offer tailored sessions for those preparing for technical interviews or coding assessments.
