About Abhinav
I have tutored students since I was in high school. Honestly, I am the type of person that needs to be told how to do something multiple times before it actually sticks in my brain. I need to do multiple math problems before I actually understand them. Because of this innate nature of mine, I am very patient with people that do not completely understand a topic on the first go. I was one of them. I still am. But, I somehow managed to get through all of it. And that is what I want to help every one of students to do. To get through it. Again, I have tutored many students in high school, and as a Computer Science major, I do have a strong background in coding (scored a 5 on the AP Computer Science exam) and mathematics (scored a 4 on AP Calculus BC and a 5 on AP Calculus AB). Tutoring for biology is just something I do because I love the science and am very knowledgeable in it (scored a 4 on the exam). With all that, I know I can help you all succeed and get through any kind of academic hurdles you may be facing regarding math, computer science, and biology.

The best way I think people can learn is if they fundamentally make the connections toward the proper answers themselves. That is why the first thing I do is understand exactly what my client has a problem with. After that, I generically explain the underlying mechanisms and concepts needed to solve the problem. After that, I give them practice problems. The first couple problems I will walkthrough with them, and after that I will allow them to do it themselves, and then correct them where they went wrong later. By letting them loose and solving the problems on their own, I believe my students can start to make connections between the content and solve the problem for themselves instead of just doing it the way they are told and not be able to apply the skills to other areas.
