About Dhriti
I hold a Graduate Diploma in Violin Pedagogy and bring over 6 years of teaching experience to my lessons. My focus is on integrating music theory, aural skills, and sight reading into violin practice, especially for students preparing for theory exams and advanced harmony study. I use practical bowing and fingering exercises to teach scales, intervals, and harmonic concepts, helping students link theory directly to their playing. Many of my students are exam candidates or musicians aiming to improve their musical fluency. This combined approach develops well-rounded violinists who read, hear, and understand music confidently. I emphasise both technical precision and intellectual understanding to build strong musicianship. Together, we’ll work on mastering your skills and growing your confidence as a knowledgeable and expressive violinist.

My teaching method includes practical lessons on violin care and maintenance alongside playing skills. I show students how to handle their violin properly and clean it regularly to prevent damage. I work with students who perform online or sing for enjoyment, helping them maintain their violins with ease. You’ll learn how to care for your violin independently and avoid costly repairs. By building these habits early, your instrument will stay reliable and sound beautiful. I’m here to guide you in becoming a responsible and confident violin owner.
