About Sabrina
Born into a musical family with a harpist mother, a flutist father, and a violinist brother, I was immersed in music from a very young age. This meant that I started playing the flute at the age of 8. During my 14 years of study at the conservatory, I acquired many skills and explored various avenues such as music theory, orchestra, choir, chamber music, projects within the flute class, discovering the piccolo and bass flute, attending various masterclasses with great teachers, and sharing my passion with other professionals. All these experiences have allowed me to deepen my skills and develop my learning techniques and musicality. This variety has allowed me to build my own approach to technique. When it comes to my lessons, I am very flexible and can adapt to students who come to recharge their batteries with the flute once a week, as well as students who are planning to take exams or competitions. After fourteen years of intensive training at the Montpellier Regional Conservatory, I obtained my Diploma of Musical Studies (DMS), a certification that reflects both advanced technical ability and deep artistic commitment. Throughout my education, I had the privilege of learning from highly experienced instructors, developing a strong foundation in performance, pedagogy, and musical interpretation. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach numerous private lessons as well as work in various music schools across France. These experiences have allowed me to refine my teaching approach, adapting my methods to suit students of different ages, goals, and learning styles. Whether guiding complete beginners or supporting more advanced musicians, I strive to create a learning environment that is both structured and inspiring, encouraging each student to progress at their own pace while cultivating confidence and artistic expression. I am now delighted to continue my teaching activity here in Canada, where I offer personalized music lessons in English or French. I welcome students of all ages and all skill levels, from young children discovering music for the first time to adults wishing to develop their technique or simply rekindle their passion for playing. I'll be happy to make the lesson online, with sessions lasting one hour or longer, depending on your needs and objectives. My rate is $60 per hour, with the possibility of extended lessons upon request. I look forward to meeting you and sharing the joy of music with you! 🪈
