About Brian
I am Brian Henry, a British professional keyboard player, musical director and music educator based in Dubai Sports City.
My career spans more than 30 years, including performing with Soul II Soul and The Jacksons, and working with artists such as Gabrielle and Omar. Alongside performing, I spent over 20 years teaching at the Academy of Contemporary Music, where my roles included Head of Keyboards, Head of Live Music and Production, and Senior Lecturer.
I enjoy sharing what I have learned throughout my career and helping people discover their own enjoyment of music. You do not need to have professional ambitions to learn with me. Whether you want to play your favorite songs, return to an instrument or develop your confidence, your goals matter.
I am a patient, approachable teacher who creates space for questions and encourages students to progress at their own pace. My musical background includes soul, pop, funk, gospel and contemporary keyboard playing, and I bring that experience into every lesson.
I welcome children aged seven and above, teenagers and adults, from beginner to intermediate level, for in-person lessons in Dubai Sports City.

My lessons are practical, patient and built around the music you enjoy. Whether you are starting from scratch or developing your existing skills, I adapt each session to your interests, ability and pace.
We can explore your favourite songs while developing chords, rhythm, keyboard technique, playing by ear and improvisation. I introduce music theory through examples you can play, helping you understand how music works and apply it with confidence.
A typical lesson includes a warm-up, focused work on a skill or song, and clear guidance on what to practise before our next session. You will have time to ask questions, try ideas and build your skills without feeling rushed.
I bring over 20 years of teaching experience at the Academy of Contemporary Music, alongside more than 30 years as a professional keyboard player and musical director. This experience helps me connect the fundamentals with the skills musicians use in rehearsals and on stage.
Lessons are suitable for children aged seven and above, teenagers and adults, from beginner to intermediate level. Sessions last 30 or 60 minutes and take place in person in Dubai Sports City, with limited nearby home visits available by arrangement.
My aim is to help you enjoy playing, build confidence and make steady progress towards your own musical goals. Dubai lessons are available until 14 October and again from 2 November. Enquiries are welcome while I am away.
