About Ida
Hello! My name is Ida and I'm a born and raised Finn currently living near our capital city. I love languages and I have taught myself a few - for example, Korean! I love learning about other people and new cultures and love to communicate with others. I adore traveling and I do social media as a second job. As you can guess, taking photos is one of my other favorite things to do! I love being creative and play a lot of instruments and also write songs - so with me you won't have a boring moment. :) I love watching series and pretty much learn anything new! I do family research and have knowledge when it comes to Finnish history too.
I have taught English to others in Finnish and sometimes the other way around. As I am self-taught when it comes to languages, I have a lot of tips and ideas to give while showing you the secrets to our language (that is not the easiest one, trust me!). I love to use creativity and many different kinds of platforms and methods, not just talking one on one. If you are up to it, I might give you some homework ;). I would love to use different mechanism when it comes to teaching, but to me the most important thing is that we find a way that works the best for YOU. As I am a native Finn, I of course speak Finnish fluently and can work with you on every level - whether you are a beginner or someone who already knows our language!
I would love if you booked a trial where we could discuss your goals (if you are coming to work here, study, or you just want to get to know the language) and what kind of learning style you would like, as I am very open to different styles. We could also get to know a bit and learn more about your level in Finnish and what kind of schedule you have - you are all welcome to learn about me and my native language, I'd be more than happy to meet you!
