About Faye
I am a drum tutor with 14 years of teaching experience and a Master of Sound & Performance. I began drumming in childhood and quickly grew passionate about rhythm. Over the years, I’ve performed in multiple bands, studio sessions, and live events. These experiences shaped my ability to teach with both practicality and creativity. My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals, including timing, stick technique, and hand coordination. I believe in breaking concepts down into simple, manageable steps. Students receive personalized instruction tailored to their musical goals. I incorporate exercises that develop both speed and control. Songs, grooves, and techniques are taught in a progressive sequence. I prioritize building confidence in every student. You’ll receive structured practice routines to help you improve consistently. I teach various musical styles to broaden your versatility. My teaching environment is encouraging, positive, and growth-focused. I enjoy watching students gain new skills each week. I help drummers find their personal style while mastering the basics. Music has changed my life, and I’m excited to share that passion with others. I’m here to help you grow, learn, and express yourself through drumming.

My drum lessons are designed to be fun, interactive, and engaging while building solid drumming fundamentals. Each lesson is customized for the student’s goals, whether they are beginners learning basic beats, intermediate drummers refining technique, or advanced players preparing for performance. Lessons cover timing, stick control, hand independence, coordination, groove, dynamics, rhythm reading, and expressive phrasing.
I incorporate play-alongs, song practice, improvisation, and creative exercises to make lessons enjoyable and motivating. Students receive guidance on effective practice routines, milestone tracking, and goal-setting to ensure steady progress. My teaching environment is positive, supportive, and encouraging, allowing learners to explore creativity and experiment without fear. Lessons emphasize listening skills, musical analysis, and practical application to help students play confidently solo or in ensembles. Students gradually develop coordination, rhythmic independence, and expressive ability. Milestones are celebrated to maintain motivation and reinforce achievement.
Lessons balance structure with creativity to ensure each session is productive, inspiring, and fun. Drumming becomes a tool for self-expression, creativity, and emotional connection.
