About Evan
I am a credentialed elementary school teacher. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I have been tutoring since 2014, with a focus in math. I also have run a robotics class for the past 6 years. I appreciate different learners and attempt to adjust the type of instruction to the student's/students' learning style.

I start by planning my objective for the lesson. I try to connect the new information to previous learning and student background knowledge. Then I present the information in a format that is most effective for the student, using visuals whenever possible. After I model the targeted skills, I allow the student to practice with my guidance. Then I have an assessment that measures whether or not the student reached the objective.
