About Emma
I’m a queer educator, cultural theorist, and movement coach originally from Sweden, now based in the UK. I’ve spent over 15 years teaching and facilitating across a wide range of settings—from fitness studios to classrooms to community spaces. I teach with kindness, curiosity, and a strong belief in non-hierarchical, collaborative learning.
I’m passionate about creating spaces where people can come closer to themselves—whether through movement, language, or conversation. My work includes everything from trauma-informed coaching to sex education, and I’m especially committed to supporting queer folks, people with disabilities or illness, and anyone seeking a more affirming way to inhabit their body or learning process.
In addition to movement work, I also teach Swedish language to American exchange students. My language teaching is scenario-based, practical, and rooted in real life—focused on giving students tools to navigate the world, express themselves, and connect with Swedish culture in meaningful ways.
Whether we’re building strength or building sentences, I believe learning should feel human, generous, and shared.

I teach Swedish with the same approach I bring to all my work: rooted in kindness, curiosity, and connection. With a background in cultural theory, movement education, and over 15 years of experience teaching diverse groups, I offer Swedish classes that go beyond vocabulary lists and grammar drills. My classes are about real-life language—learning to speak, write, and understand in ways that support your daily life, identity, and communication.
Whether you're a total beginner or want to deepen your fluency, we’ll work together in a collaborative, non-hierarchical space. I use scenario-based teaching, which means we practice language through meaningful, everyday situations: navigating a café, writing a message, telling your story, or expressing your needs. Grammar and structure are important—and we’ll cover them—but always in service of you using the language confidently and authentically.
