About Rakesh
Hi, I'm Rakesh! I am a current UK medical student with a genuine passion for the sciences and helping others succeed in Chemistry.
Having successfully navigated the highly competitive medical school application process, I know firsthand the dedication and structured revision strategies required to achieve top grades at the 11+ and GCSE levels. Chemistry is a subject I use daily in my medical training, and I love helping students see how these concepts apply to the real world.
Through my clinical experience and active leadership roles at university—including serving as a sports club president and a student association secretary—I have developed strong communication skills and a patient, highly structured approach to mentoring.
I understand that the jump in difficulty in Chemistry can feel overwhelming. My goal is to break down complex concepts into logical, easy-to-understand steps within a reliable and encouraging online environment, helping you build your academic confidence and achieve your absolute best.

My Teaching Methodology
Chemistry can seem like a daunting mix of maths and memorisation, but I focus on helping you understand the underlying concepts. I teach using active recall and spaced repetition to ensure you truly grasp the topics. A major focus of our classes will be exam technique, breaking down past papers so you know exactly how to structure your answers to secure maximum marks.
Typical Lesson Length
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long. We start with a quick recap of previous material to reinforce memory, move into interactive discussions and whiteboard diagrams for new topics, and finish by tackling exam-style questions.
My Qualifications
As a current medical student, Chemistry is the foundation of much of my clinical training, particularly in pharmacology and biochemistry. Achieving the top grades required for medical school meant developing highly disciplined, effective study strategies, which I now pass on to my students so they can study smarter.
