About Jess
Hi, I'm Jesse, a student in Sixth Form currently studying A-Levels, with aspirations to study medicine at university. I am fun, friendly and knowledgeable, with a true passion for helping people and a desire to see you succeed, no matter your goals or where you are on your academic journey. I sat 11 GCSEs in 2024 in 11 different subjects, and got 9s in all 11, including 99% in maths, 96% in further maths and 93% in chemistry and biology—all whilst balancing studying with sport, hobbies and other extra-curricular activities. The secret? Working smarter, not harder. Having been through many examination processes, I fully understand how daunting this process can appear, but strongly believe that with proven strategies in place, which are different for everyone, exams can become something which are looked forward to, rather than feared. The difficult part is discovering said strategies, which I intend to help with. Challenging content can often feel insurmountable and overwhelming, but I'm here to offer a personalised, digestible teaching style to help you fully grasp, and retain, those concepts which will set you apart from the others in an exam scenario. As an A-Level student, I have personally been through the long-winded learning and revision process and so have a great overview of both the process of learning, understanding and retaining content, but also proven strategies to ace exams. Every learner is different, and so I offer tailored lessons to suit your pace and learning style. Knowledge and understanding stand at the forefront of academic excellence, and I believe there is no feeling more rewarding than finally understanding a challenging concept. By breaking down complex topics into small, understandable chunks, I can help you truly grasp difficult ideas more easily and build confidence step by step. Exam technique is also crucial for success. I can provide proven insights and strategies based on years of first-hand experience to help you tackle any exam question with confidence. I am available to teach from primary school level up until GCSE, usually in the form of 1 hour lessons. Whatever your aspirations and goals, I can help you achieve them and will provide advice and support every step of the way.
