About Ramisha
I am a first year PhD student in medical sciences but have always loved English. Since I was a child my teachers would praise me for my stories and thought I’d end up an author! Books have always been an integral part of my life, without stories I don’t think I would have the successful education that I’ve had as creativity is needed in all aspects of life or career path. Even as a scientist, being able to weave together a story based on scientific evidence is a skill that I would not have had if I did not read, analyse text, and enjoy English as much as I did. I’ve carried my love of English my entire academic career and have tried to include it in all aspects of my life and I also achieved top grades in English language and literature at both GCSE and A-level.

My lessons are an hour and are interactive and thrive on conversation and discussing ideas and themes based on the text. I focus on understanding what the examiners wish to see and practise past papers are one of my most important resources. My goal is to make the lesson interesting and engaging for the student in order for them to want to dig deeper into the source material and become more creative in their approach towards English.
