About Rhianna
I am currently a student at the University of Gloucestershire studying Religion, Philosophy and Ethics, with hopes of becoming a Religious Studies teacher following this.
For years now I have always known I wanted to teach, with my passion for it stemming from my own experience of school. Going through GCSEs with undiagnosed dyslexia meant I faced more challenges then others, however I soon realised that while other subjects focused on facts and figures, or written ability, religious studies was all about people and understanding how people live their life in other cultures with different beliefs. While I still faced the same struggles as before, exams and understanding became easier as the subject became less book focused and more of a exploration of the world.
I want to be able to help students who are facing their own struggles when it comes to school, adapting the way lessons are taught to make the learning process easier and more enjoyable, helping students achieve what they didn't thing they could before.

I like to take a more relaxed and interactive approach to lessons that include a lot of discussion with visual aids and activities to help students who prehaps can't learn from just reading from a book or being talked at develop a good level of understanding, as well as getting them considering how to go about answering an exam question. As someone with dyslexia, I understand how exams and fully comprehending content at GCSE can be a very stressful time, and like to cater my sessions toward the need of the student.
