About Shivdev
As stated before, I am a year 9 student going into year 10. Having spent a few years as a SELP student, I was able to complete the year 9 Mathematics Victorian curriculum in year 7 and gain an in-depth understanding on the topics for the past few years. My participation in programs like VHAP and Math Olympiad also contributed to the development of my mathematics which was reflected through both my reports and results in competitions such as the AMC. The motivation for tutoring online was that I usually have a lot of time on my hands and I wanted to do something productive whilst simultaneously exercising my mathematics ability and helping others to overcome their difficulties in this subject.

With experience in tutoring a wide range of students face to face, I believe that my effective methods of teaching others fundamental and extensive concepts of mathematics can be of much use to those that struggle with the subject. I am qualified enough to provide in-depth understanding in areas of mathematics such as:
*Algebra
*Measurement and Geometry
*Solving and graphing Quadratics, Trinomials and Parabolas
*Statistics and Probability
*Logarithms
*Trigonometry
*Etc
The typical lengths of a lesson would be 1 to 2 hours depending on what the topic is. Within that period of time, typically I would provide a few questions to gain an understanding of how much pre-knowledge they have and then I would go over the fundamentals if necessary. Taking it slow and steady with the method is what i find to be the most effect.
