About Latoya
I have had 2 years of teaching kids k-5 in Freedom School, a literacy summer camp. In freedom school, we taught kids literacy skills, and did fun activities with them. In addition, I’ve had 4 years in volunteering at freedom school, so I am knowledgeable on how to work with kids.

I have a gentle, but firm, approach to students. In my lessons, we will start at what the student knows, and move on to learn what they do not. The student should generally be in grades k-5, as that is my teaching experience. I believe that every child has the ability be great, but you have to meet their needs, and give them the tool to do so!
