About Namatayi
I'm a British-Zimbabwean, born and raised in Zimbabwe, a country in Southern Africa. I moved to the UK in 2023 to pursue my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. I had previously completed my A levels in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics but when applying to university my passion for technology won and I chose to go into Computer Science. I have a keen interest in Robotics, and that is why I became involved in my university's newly-formed robotics society. I am extremely fascinated by all things science and want to share my love and passion with other people, especially those still in school. And maybe inspire them to follow and similar or even more exciting path! I love musical theatre, and sing in my spare time.

I try to incorporate games into my lessons to encourage my students to have fun and remain engaged because of how content-heavy most of my subjects are I try to have short, but semi-frequent breaks to check in with students on where exactly they are. I include regular tests, flashcards and presentations in my lessons. My methods rely quite strongly on communication with my students. Regardless of the timeline we plan to move with, it is most important that they understand the subject matter, not memorise it. We must be able to communicate when they don't understand so we regroup accordingly. The typical length of a lesson is 1 hour. I completed Maths, Biology, Physics and Chemistry at IGCSE level and received an A* in each (Equivalent to a 9 in GCSE). And at International A level, I received a B in Chemistry, and an A in Maths, Biology and Physics. I have previously volunteered and tutored children in Primary school and Orphanages during my break before starting University. I also volunteered my spare time to tutor at my old high school during my A level year. My lessons are aimed towards students preparing to write their GCSEs and A levels. Typically in the age range 16 - 19 years.
