About Rebecca
I am Rebecca and currently studying at university. With my speciality being the Ancient World, I am qualified in Classical Studies and Latin at both GCSE and A Level. My TEFL qualification has not only allowed me to teach English but also means I have experience in developing my transferable skills as a tutor.
I think it is really important that students feel safe and comfortable in their learning environment and my lessons are a great way to develop your knowledge without pressure. I remember having tutoring and feeling anxious and confused, but I want to teach in a dynamic, fun way that limits stress and puts your mind at ease.
As someone who experienced my own learning struggles throughout my academic life, I am appreciative of students needing personalised attention depending on their needs. I am happy to support my students in any way I can.

My lessons are a healthy balance between fun and engaging, but also thorough and informative. I know people learn in a unique way to them and I am very happy to explore and develop my techniques alongside my students. This maximises my lessons so that they are fully compatible and helpful to the individual. Being fully aware of the stresses and pressure of school, I try to create a personable, safe environment where students of all ages feel comfortable making mistakes and being productive.
My lessons are predominately for students studying the Classical World up to and including A Levels. There is no age limit to my lessons as long as my student fits within my specified level ability. A typical lesson is about an hour but this is flexible if the topics covered need more or less time. I am also happy to extend or shorten a lesson depending on the student's needs and understanding.
As a current undergraduate, I have 10 GCSEs and 3 A Levels. I am qualified to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL). I have worked with children of all ages for many years and teaching became a key part in my activities with them.
