About Vy
I am a medical student who loves to help out where I can! I remember doing both my GCSEs and A levels, and being so stressed. Now that I have completed those stages, I would like to pass on any knowledge and help someone through those processes if I can. I create comfortable environments for my students to ask any questions and get anything wrong. Practice makes perfect after all!

I am a 20 year old medical student studying at Bristol. I have 2 year of private tutoring experience where I tutored A level chemistry. I offer lessons from KS3 to A level in biology, chemistry and maths.
I always ask before the session what the student wants to cover so that I can prepare some teaching materials and questions for us to over together and for my student to try alone.
I start by teaching the content by going through the notes on the content. I interweave practice questions throughout the teaching stage to check the student's understanding as we go along. After comprehension of the topic is established, we move onto doing practice questions. Typically, I start by working through a question with the student first and then task them with some questions for them to try alone. I then mark the questions they've just done and give any feedback - explaining anything they've gotten incorrect and giving tips to improve exam technique.
I am flexible with my lesson lengths and I am happy to tailor it to optimise my student's learning. Previously, I tend to stick to sessions that run for 1-2 hours.
