About Sophia
I am currently obtaining my Bachelor in Music for Violin Performance at the University of Michigan. I like to read, bake, program, and obviously practice my instrument! I also enjoy playing in string quartets and working with my students. I have played violin for over ten years, and have been teaching it for around three. I can't wait to work with you too!

I like to stress the importance of technique such as bow grip, intonation, etc., while allowing space for the student to grow as a musician and artist. My students have the opportunity to choose the style of music they would like to learn, as I believe this helps to encourage passion in the instrument. These lessons would mainly be for beginner/intermediate students.
