About Karena
I am a young adult (22 years old) and I believe I resonate with children quite well. I am currently studying and well aware of the benefits of extracurricular activities alongside learning in school and being a student myself feel as though I can connect with children on a deeper level. In the past, I have babysat some family friends and believe those experiences have given me the skills to communicate effectively with kids and teach them in ways they'll be able to understand

I plan to teach children by helping them familiarise themselves with the notes of the violin by using exercise books such as "fiddle time starters" and "beginner lesson book", and also playing phrases and having the children imitate them. I would like the first 2 or 3 lessons to be half an hour,(£12.20), (to get accustomed to holding and positioning the instrument) and all the following lessons to be 1 hour long. As of now, I have an intermediate skill set and would like to teach young children (up to grade 5). I will kindly request that students bring their own instruments as I do not own any other violins apart from my own.
