About Rebekah

Hi, I’m Rebekah! Originally from the small town of Wakonda, South Dakota, I began dancing at age three after my papa, a filmmaker, introduced me to the magic of classic musicals like An American in Paris and West Side Story. By age seven, I was competing and training in a variety of styles, including jazz, contemporary, tap, musical theater, lyrical, and hip-hop. Through summer intensives and internships, I continued expanding my training and discovered a passion for choreography and teaching at just 13. Wanting to deepen my technical foundation, I moved to New York City to train at Joffrey Ballet School, where I developed a profound love for ballet, particularly contemporary ballet. Today, I pursue my professional dance career through both commercial and concert work and am a company member with New York Dance Project. Outside of dance, I love competitive swimming, going to the gym, animals, baking, and photography!

Hi my name is Rebekah:) With a versatile background across a wide range of dance styles, I bring a well-rounded and individualized approach to private dance coaching. My experience includes teaching classes, choreographing solos and competition numbers, preparing dancers for auditions, and creating choreography for school musical productions. I have a genuine passion for both teaching and choreography, and I believe private coaching is one of the most valuable tools a dancer can have. It’s something I wish I’d had more of throughout my own training! One-on-one lessons allow us to focus on your unique strengths, build confidence, refine technique, and explore your artistic individuality. My goal is not only to help you become a stronger dancer, but to help you understand your body, discover your own movement, and grow into the artist you aspire to be.
