Currently i am studying and working at a circus within Bristol and whilst this could not lend itself to academic tutoring I have a passion for English literature and was accepted into UCL, Kings College, SOAS and Goldsmiths universities last year before deciding to pursue circus.
During A- Levels i studied English Lit, History, Philosophy and media all of which i took great enjoyment in and would love to pursue in teaching. I currently volunteer at Circomedias youth circus in which i teach classes of 4-8 year old and 10-14 year olds. Prior to this i spent a year working in America as a circus coach working with children from 8-16.
I genuinely take great enjoyment out of teaching in any capacity and am very excited at the opportunity to be able to teach in a more academic way, and in place of something i took advantage of when i was taking GCSEs. I had a tutor for my science and maths subjects who really boosted my confidence and made learning it fun and far more tailored to myself, this is what i want to do for others.
I am comfortable teaching most ages and if i had any preference it would be working with 9-15 year olds.
