About Adeola
I am a dedicated GCSE and A-Level Computer Science teacher currently working in a London secondary school, with over 6 years of classroom teaching experience. During this time, I have developed a deep and confident understanding of the British Computing Curriculum, enabling me to guide students not only towards higher grades but towards true mastery of the subject. What sets me apart is my ability to connect academic theory with real-world application. Before entering education, I worked in the Tech industry as an IT Consultant, giving me valuable first-hand experience of how computing concepts are applied in real professional environments. I bring this insight into my lessons, helping students see the relevance of what they are learning and inspiring them to think beyond the exam. With extensive exam preparation experience, strong subject knowledge, and a proven track record of supporting learners of all abilities, I offer tutoring that blends expert teaching with industry perspective, ensuring students develop the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to excel both in their studies and in the rapidly evolving world of technology.

To Parents and Students, My name is Mr. Adeola Balogun and I’m excited to support learners in developing strong computer science and problem-solving skills. With a solid background in IT consultation and a year of industry experience, I bring real-world knowledge into every lesson to make learning both practical and engaging. My Teaching Approach I believe students learn best when complex ideas are broken down into clear, manageable steps which students can associate with their everyday lives. My tutoring style focuses on: • Concept first learning: ensuring students understand why something works before jumping into how. • Hands on practice: coding exercises, real examples and mini projects to reinforce understanding. • Guided problem solving: helping students think logically and independently over memorisation. • Adaptability: adjusting the teaching pace and method based on each student’s learning style. • I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where questions are welcomed, mistakes are valued as part of learning, and confidence grows naturally. Lesson Structure & Duration A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, which allows time for: • A quick review of previous concepts • Introduction of new material • Hands-on practice or a short project • Questions & Answers and next steps Lesson length can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs. Qualifications & Experience • Background in Computer Science and IT Consultation. • One year of hands-on work in the IT industry, bringing practical knowledge and modern tools into my lessons. • Experience tutoring both beginners and more advanced learners both within a High school environment and online. • Familiarity with common school curriculums as well as enrichment/extracurricular programming.
