About Coney
I started dancing at the age of 7 and quickly became passionate about jazzy vintage styles like Charleston and Hollywood musicals.
I have been teaching vintage, retro and cabaret dance classes since 2006 when I moved to New Zealand.
In 2011 I created a dance company specialized in these styles. The company received the awards "Favorite troupe" at the New Zealand cabaret awards in 2014 and 2015.

Dancer and choreographer specializing in vintage, retro and cabaret dance, I offer technical and / or choreographic lessons in the following styles:
- Burlesque
- French Cancan
- Solo Charleston (20s)
- Charleston for the stage (20s/30s)
- Chorus Line (30s to 60s)
- Bob Fosse styling (60s/70s)
- Go-go (60s)
- Disco and French disco (70s)
- Chair dance (Cabaret and Acro)
Those are private lessons that will be catered especially for you lessons for beginners and advanced dancers, whether it is to learn a specific style or polish an act already created:
- Learn a vintage or rétro dance style
- Work on your technique: Posture, body alignment, leg work, flexibility
- Act development: Workshop a choreography, get feedback on an existing act.
All those lessons can be done in person or online.

J'ai rencontré Coney en Nouvelle Zélande, en ayant été inscrite pour un de ses stage de Burlesque. Pendant nos 2 heures ensemble, Coney nous as appris plusieurs méthodes de danse, tout en étant professionnelle et accueillante. Elle apporte une certaine énergie a la salle et sait comment transmettre le bonheur pendant ses cours. Nous avons passés un très bon moment ensemble, en pratiquant des échauffements, des étirements, et des petites astuces pour se sentir alaise sur scène. Je recommanderais fortement les cours de Coney et j'espère la revoir bientôt pour bénéficier de son expérience dans ce domaine.
