About Joanna
Hello everyone, and welcome! My name is Joanna, and I am incredibly excited to be your tutor. To give you a bit of background on who I am, I have been right where you are aiming to be. I hold my Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, and I have spent over 20 years working on the frontline as a carer, as well as serving as a Care Team Leader. I chose to transition into teaching because, after two decades on the floor, I know exactly what it takes to thrive in this sector. I don't just want to teach you what is in the textbook; I want to share the real-world, practical knowledge that will make you excellent, resilient carers. I am here to make sure you feel confident, safe, and fully prepared for the amazing impact you are going to make in people's lives. I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you!
