About Amanda
I have a BSc. and BEd. from UBC, as well as my MEd. from the University of Ottawa. I have 6 years of teaching experience and can assist with any subject in the BC Curriculum from K-9. Prior to teaching I worked in various marketing roles with an emphasis on writing and copy editing.

I try my best to keep students as active as possible in their learning. When reviewing a story or a text for reading comprehension, I always like to ask students many questions as we are reading to make sure that they understand the material and are learning to think about it critically. In addition, I encourage students come to lessons with questions and ideas about what they want to work on so that they can get the most out of the session.
