About Mina
I am a violin tutor with over 7 years of experience and hold an Associate of Music in String Performance. My passion lies in Nordic folk violin traditions, including Norwegian Fiddle, Swedish Fiddle, and Klezmer. I love sharing these rich cultural styles with my students, focusing on authentic ornamentation and rhythmic bowing patterns that give each tradition its unique sound. My teaching method emphasizes ear-based learning, helping students develop a natural connection to the music. I use folk jam tracks and drone tuners to create an immersive learning environment. This approach allows students to internalize the rhythms and melodies deeply. I also rely on repertoire-based instruction, so students learn through pieces that reflect the true spirit of these folk styles. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced, I tailor lessons to your needs. I believe learning the violin is not just about technique but also about feeling the music’s cultural heartbeat.
