About Freya
Hey!
My name is Freya. I am 21 years old and i am currently studying Dentistry at the University of Birmingham. I got 3 A's at A level including Biology, Chemistry and Maths. My degree allows me to provide advice on university applications etc. as well continuing to strengthen my knowledge in the areas of Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I am an organised and hardworking individual as well as being very creative. I love to bring my creativity on board to the online lessons and find new and interesting ways to learn. I believe that the key to learning is a lot of exam practice and keeping you interested by adapting revision to the individual student. I have experience in tuition as I tutored GCSE students during my ALEVELS; as well as working at Kumon Maths and English centre in my spare time, teaching students of all ages.

I will start off the sessions by getting to know the individual student. From my experience each individual has a different way of learning that works best for them wether it is colourful creative posters or exam question practice. We will start off by going through the specification and highlighting the key areas to concentrate on. I will then prepare for the lesson in advance make sure it is a creative and interesting lesson, using key revision techniques that have helped me to achieve my results in the past.
Every few session we will do a small quiz to go back over the topics from the lesson, this ensures that the student is aware of any areas for improvement and gives them an opportunity for self reflection. We will monitor progress through these small quizzes and discuss any changes within the sessions that need to be made.
In addition I will set work between each lesson to ensure that the student is keeping up their knowledge and topics aren't forgotten. I believe that repetition of topics are key to maintaining the knowledge throughout the build up to exams.
I am keen to take into account what the individual student thinks works for them and am happy to adapt the sessions to suit them.
