About Micara

I am a digital marketing graduate and a qualified chef. I come from a background of female teachers - my grandmother was a principal and her children were Afrikaans, English, and Physical Science teachers. I have been a private tutor for 7 years and Afrikaans was my favorite language subject in school

About the lesson

My teaching method is based on mindfulness, practice, patience, and persistence. My focus consists of: - instilling confidence within themselves in my students by rewiring the subconscious minds with positive affirmations and breathing exercises at the beginning of each lesson. - Being patient and understanding - Communicating thoroughly - Allowing my student to learn from their mistakes - Providing materials and resources that will spark their growth

Recommendations

Micara and I went to school together which is why I was confident in advising my niece to partake in her lessons. I’m so impressed by how far my niece has gotten in such a short period of time. Micara’s teaching style make class enjoyable and therefore easy to learn and grasp concepts. She is so active with her students and shows a genuine level of compassion. 10/10 recommend Micara for Afrikaans tutoring!
