About Serena
Hello All!
my name is Serena, and I hold a PhD in Astrophysics from Radboud University Nijmegen and a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics (with honors) from Pavia University. I worked as a post-doctoral researcher in Astrophysics at the Israel Institute of Technology. I was recently (June 2018) awarded the qualified teacher status (with distinction) from Imperial College London and CCCU, after completing a PGCE course.
From September 2018, I will be working as a secondary school Physics Teacher in London, UK.
I have experience in classroom teaching of Physics and Maths up to GCSE and A-level as well as in private tutoring students for their GCSE.

My teaching method is based on inquiry-based learning, through which students foster their inquisitive and lateral thinking skills as well as apply their Physics and Maths knowledge to everyday life situations. I love to provide quizzes and games to make the learning more fun. When teaching Physics, I love to provide examples in which the laws of Physics are applied to Astronomical objects (stars, black holes, etc.).
