About Mark
I am a musician now based in Helsinki, Finland and have been teaching here for over a year now. i have a first class degree in Classical Guitar performance from the Royal Northern College of Music, and much experience playing in folk bands, rock bands and advanced solo repertoire.
I can teach any age from 7 - 99 although wouldn't advise young children to have online lessons as concentration is harder to achieve.

my method incorporates an understanding of physiology of the hand and muscles, historical research into traditional styles of music and learning music theory on the instrument.
I try to approach any technical problem by encouraging the student to realise it themselves rather than lecturing on what is wrong or right. In our first few lessons, expect to focus on developing a good daily routine of exercises to strengthen basic technique, and applying deeper listening into your practice.
