About Alex
- I am a music business professional, working in music PR. - I play regularly in Westminster Philharmonic Orchestra as well as Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra. - I received a Master's degree from Westminster University in 2024 in Music Business Management and completed my undergraduate degree at Birmingham University in Music. I teach Double Bass and Music Theory, specialising in classical music. - I have been playing the Double Bass for over 20 years and have been a part of NCO, NSSO, University of Birmingham Philharmonic, as well as taking performance module as part of my final year degree. - Currently based in East Dulwich, I am willing to travel to students homes and students are also welcome to travel to me.

As a dedicated double bass instructor, I provide comprehensive lessons that focus on developing strong technical foundations, musical expression, and confidence in performance. My teaching approach combines classical techniques, modern repertoire, and ear training to cultivate well-rounded musicianship. Students learn proper posture, bowing and pizzicato techniques, intonation, and ensemble skills. Whether beginners or advanced players, my lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, encouraging progress, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.
