About Tabitha
I am an actress and a poet. I go to Poetry slams every month and I act as much as a I possibly can. I have performed a show called “Trapped” which focused on “urban” issues at the Donmar Theatre, Covent Garden in 2018. I enjoy teaching young people acting, from reviewing practitioners to putting work into practise, watching the growth of confidence and skill within classes turning them into superb actors and bringing out the best side of them.

My teaching method is to engage the group with a fun warm up activity so they feel more relaxed in the class. Then to teach them about the use of our breath and body, for example using projection while studying theatre.
Normally I would then split them up and give them the opportunity to be creative, to create their own dialogue, body language and characters, within a set task. These short pieces are performed and feedback is given from myself and other members of the class. Due to COVID-19 majority lessons will be online via zoom. In these sessions I will send the student a breathing exercise to do before hand and go into depth on practitioners and the benefit of studying them and then dialogue work e.g. monologues, duologues working through the truth behind an actor and the emotional scale ideas presented through practitioners.

I know acting classes are expensive, as I am halfway through my degree myself it would be unfair to charge the average price per hour. Message me for any queries. All lessons will be online due to COVID-19. First lesson is 45 mins and free of charge. £15 per hour.
